OUR TUNING STAGES.
Our engine and transmission upgrades are divided into different stages, each defined by its performance potential, technical requirements, and necessary hardware. We are happy to help you select the appropriate stage for your vehicle. Published performance figures are based on measurements according to DIN 70020 or EEC 80/1269 standards. Ambient temperature, intake air temperature, and fuel quality can significantly affect the results. At elevated temperatures, the engine management system may reduce power to protect the engine. For performance testing, we therefore recommend premium fuel with the highest suitable octane rating, meeting at least the manufacturer's specifications. Inadequate fuel quality can reduce performance and potentially cause engine damage under sustained high loads.
STAGE 1
Our Stage 1 is a software-only performance upgrade designed for vehicles with factory-standard hardware. All relevant engine protection functions remain active. Calibration is developed in accordance with applicable emissions requirements and validated through extensive dynamometer testing, data logging, and functional checks. Software is released only after successful validation. Stage 1 provides the technical foundation for our higher performance stages and their corresponding approval procedures.
STAGE 1 PLUS
Stage 1 Plus builds upon Stage 1 with software calibration specifically adapted to upgraded hardware, such as exhaust systems, intake systems, intercoolers, or downpipes with alternative catalytic converters. When using our matched components, we take applicable emissions regulations and approval requirements into account. Third-party components, however, may affect emissions compliance, road legality, and the validity of existing certifications. Combining individually approved components does not automatically guarantee legal compliance. Our published Stage 1 Plus performance figures apply exclusively to the specified hardware configurations. Any additional requirements or deviations are detailed in our configurator. We are happy to advise you on technical compatibility and regulatory compliance.
